Flea market finds: Ardingly.

Ardingly is home to one of the most famous antiques fairs in the country. It’s massive. 100’s of stalls selling their wares over 2 or 3 days. A rummager’s dream.

So with my mum now retired, and my carry-over days of annual leave burning a hole in my pocket, we decided to spend a random Wednesday in a field hunting for bargains.

Flea market finds: Carmarthen.

I think I owe my blog an apology. It’s the end of the second week back at work after the Christmas break, and to say I’m struggling with the old routine is something of an understatement. The mornings are dark and the days are long, and by the time I’m home I barely have the energy for Eastenders, let alone blogging!

But, I have resolved, things are going to change. In the words of Yazz, the only way is up. And what better place to start than with a quick run down of the Carmarthen flea market I went to back in December?

It was the less pricey more boot-saley version of the antiques fair I went to right at the start of the month.

Booty buys: Chepstow racecourse.

My mum and I took a sunny trip out to Chepstow racecourse on Sunday. Every week they host a car boot sale and a market. The market was much more substantial than the booty (a pitiful 7 cars!). But there was one lady with a table of treasure.

My mum bought some pretty linen from her, and I bought a set of 10 small glass bowls and one matching daddy bowl.
